Pictures.

Since our blog has sadly been lacking in the area of regular posts, here is a "catch-up post"!

Jacob is now 9 1/2 months, and so big! He has 4 or 5 teeth with at least 2 more on the way in! Even in the midst of teething, he has been such a happy, content baby. We truly are blessed!

Awwww, Mom and Jake-man!

Jake especially loves his Dad and brothers (Mom is still #1 when he's hungry!) and is happiest when with one of them!

The "griller-in-training" fell asleep on the job!

One of our favorite things to do during the summer is grill-out, and we have already done so several times!

Dad is the BEST griller out there!

We recently got "into" shish-kabobs, and Dad does an amazing job making them!

Us oldest five children have enjoyed going to square dances several times a month. Here are some pictures from the latest dance we went to!

Josh and Sharee - who finished lessons last fall and have been doing great!!

Abby and Amanda!

Squaring up!

Amy, Allison and Aliisa (wow, a lot of A's!)

Allison and Alex; brother and sister - awww!

Elizabeth and Emmy - they both took lessons last summer, and it's so cute to watch them dancing!

During the breaks the boys (and sometimes a girl or two!) pass the time playing cards.

One of our cats had four kittens in May. They are so cute!!

They don't have names yet. Ideas, anyone?

We enjoyed watching the back-hoe dig up some of the huge stumps that were in our yard!

Aliisa made a quilt for some friends who had a baby girl in March. Grandma Klahn wanted to see pictures, so here they are!

The front.

The back.

We "enjoyed" a power outage one evening for about two hours. We used candles for light, and the little girls thought it was great!

Eating by candlelight (this is actually what it looked like, and I had to turn the flash off to get accurate lighting).

With the flash!

Zack havin' fun with all his little sisters!

Aleks and Be-bob (another nick-name!)

One evening some a couple friends came over and we had fun playing Sheephead for several hours!

Dana, Ike, Noah, Zack and Aliisa

In May us five oldest went to a Civil War Ball fund raiser for a young girl who had cancer.

Matt and Zack - handsome dudes!

Emmy in her beautiful dress!

Most of the dances we did were line dances which could be taught in a few minutes, although at the end of the dance we did a few square dances. That was very interesting with all the big hoop skirts!

Brittany, Amy, Aliisa, Maddie, Aleks, Noah, Kevin, Ike, Tim and Allison.

Dana and Aliisa

Emmy and a couple of friends!

Aleks
We had her hair in curlers for two days before-hand, and she looked like Shirley Temple!

Isaac - he rented a uniform, and looked very sharp!

Ali-- when I was taking pictures of the guys sliding in the mud, Noah yelled up at me "when Ali hears about this she is going to be SOO sad she wasn't here!!" :) we were both thinking about how much you would enjoy it too!

Loved all the pictures, esp. the "Wow, a lot of A's" one! :)

I wish we had some kind of a reenactment (sp?) or ball, or something down here! It looks so fun! I love those sort of things.
