Florida - part 2

For part one, go here.

The weather was beautiful, so we went for a walk!

Shuffleboard was a new thing for Maria & I, and it was a BLAST!

Concentrating on a shot . . . .

Sticking your tongue out helps a LOT! ;)
The trick is to go far enough, without going too far!

Of course, you don't want to hit your puck off the board.

Yup, we pretty much creamed them! (fyi, points are a good thing!)

Driving around was sooo cool - the trees were amazing!
We went to the beach on Monday, and I jumped in - now I can say I went swimming on March 1st! :)

Random . . . .

Typical tourists!

Maria, Dana and I.
We found a cute little place to go miniature golfing, another first for me!

Maria, the natural - her first 2 holes she got a hole-in-one!

The trick is to not hit the ball too hard, so it stays on the course and doesn't go into the water. Ask me how I know . . . . .

Dana!
"Hmm, you could try hitting it up there . . . . and maybe it'll come back that way . . . . . "

Noah!

After the first 18 holes we took a break and had a snack.

Great memories!
After golfing we walked down this cool dock and got some great pictures!

A lady very kindly took a picture for us!

I can't remember what bird this was.

A Florida sunset!
We went to the Shell Factory - a very cool tourist attraction. This department was Christmas all year round. It was pretty neat!

The Pirates - Ah!

This mold of a shark's jaw is life-size - it was HUGE!

The closest we came to an alligator :(
We had fun playing an arcade game.

It rained one afternoon, so we played pool!

Dana, the shark!

Maria did great!

We found out my camera had a timer, so we got one more picture of all of us!

Then, it was time to go home :( I got a great picture of a beautiful sunrise!

The driver. He drove the entire way home - 23 hours straight!

Maria!

Yeah . . . . . we were pretty tired!

We also:
  • Played Tennis (a first-time experience for Maria)
  • Went to the Orange Factory and had orange ice cream - it was great!
  • Went to line dance lessons Grandma Siegmann was teaching
  • Played a few very rousing games of Joker Joker
  • Had a HUGE pillow fight one night
  • Stayed up till 2am eating chocolate and playing Joker Joker (in which Maria and Dana creamed Noah and I mercilessly!)
  • Went to a concert given at the clubhouse by "Jersey Joe" and were so tired we almost fell asleep
  • Went to an IHop and Waffle House, which was a first-time experience for a couple of us!
  • Took way too many pictures :), had SO MUCH FUN, made so many memories!!!

Joker Joker is a card/board game. It is very similar to "Sorry", except you have teams and is WAY more fun :)
